Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  263 Culture:  Nasca Description:  effigy vessel, C-59471, M.N.A.A.H.-Lima. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5 Phase. Iconographic Features:  Late Effigy Harvester (Proulx 2007, 93) depicted with human body, human arms and legs. It holds maize and wears a conical hat and a collar made of pepinos. Maize and pepinos attached to the hat. Snakelike streamer emerges from the mouth, terminating in a feline head which in turn bifurcates into two branches, each containing warriors with clubs. Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  267 Culture:  Nasca Description:  effigy vessel, C-05025, M.N.A.A.H.-Lima. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5 Phase. Iconographic Features:  Late Effigy Harvester (Proulx 2007, 93) (?) depicted with human body, arms and human legs. It sits and holds roots (?), and wears a balloon-like hat, a trademark of Wari noblemen. Facial painting shows eye-markings in the shape of bird heads. Arms depicted with twisted serpents enclosed. Collar is made of small serpents and peppers. Hat is decorated with pepinos. Snakelike streamer (= extended tongue) emerges from the mouth, terminating in a feline head which in turn bifurcates into two branches, each containing processions of (dead?) warriors with clubs. Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  296 Culture:  Nasca Description:  vase, C-11409, M.N.A.A.H.-Lima. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5 Phase. Iconographic Features:  very elaborated version of a Rayed Face with Trident Crown and Upturned Mouth Mask (Proulx 2007, 111) consisting of a feline face and two human arms. It is depicted with bloody mouth and surrounded by fishes. It holds two clubs (?) similar to those of Moche warriors. A seated warrior surrounded by spears (=battlefield) and another Rayed Face appears above. Interpretation of the Rayed Face with Trident Crown and Upturned Mouth Mask as celestial body. Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  377 Culture:  Nasca Description:  vase, ID number missing, M.N.A.A.H.-Lima. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 7 Phase. Iconographic Features:  running (profile) warriors holding feather staffs and clubs. They are surrounded by (Rayed) Faces with "Snake Eyes", spears and parts of the equipment (tunics, loincloths) of the defeated warriors. A single head (with headdress) of one of the defeated warriors appears between the running (profile) warriors.
